What is The National Institute of Technology

The National Institute of Technology (NIT) is a premier higher education institution grounded in the values of Jesus Christ. Established in 2003 in Namibia, NIT is committed to building a prestigious reputation as a Christian-led University of Technology and Applied Sciences dedicated to preparing Vibrant, Skilled, Competent and Work-prepared Entrepreneurial Technicians, Technologists and Professionals for the changing industry, future world of work, and the national economic vitality.

NIT is accredited by the Namibia Qualifications Authority (NQA) and the Chartered Institute Procurement and Supply (CIPS). NIT has collaboration agreements with the Namibia University of Science and Technology (NUST), Mangosuthu University of Technology (MUT), Development Bank of Namibia (DBN), the Pearson Education Group, and any many other stakeholders to supplement its educational resources and efforts to provide top quality practical education services to its students.

Aligned with the labour market and the Fourth Industrial Revolution (Industry 4.0) skills demands, NIT’s hands-on courses develop students as Visionary Entrepreneurs, Critical Thinkers, Complex Problem Solvers, and Critical Decision Makers, Effective Communicators and Prosperous Business Leaders.

To strengthen its capacity, NIT has embraced the disruptive environmental changes to develop its world-class Virtual Campus powered by high quality educational software for virtual libraries, virtual laboratories, and virtual classrooms hence leveraging the Industry 4.0 technologies.

Registered as Marvelous University of Technology and Applied Sciences (MUTAS) in Zambia, NIT offers its courses through Windhoek Campus, Northern (Oshakati) Campus, and the Virtual Campus in Namibia.
